Introduction

The Industrial Revolution started in Britain and spread across Europe in the late 18th and early 19th centuries. Through it, we received the new industrialized type of civilization that we are used to. Through this blog, I hope to expand my knowledge of the Industrial Revolution, and learn how to clearly explain myself in a blog format.

The Essential Question
My essential question for this chapter is Why did the Industrial Revolution start in Britain?

The Industrial Revolution started in Britain for one reason- the timing and surroundings were perfect. Plain and simple. All of the things that were needed to start the Industrial Revolution (need for goods, a good economy, a lenient government) were present in Britain at the time, and voila! Industrial Revolution!
